BUILDINGS WITH CHARACTER
No cookie-cutter buildings, nothing mainstream. Our dream was to construct two buildings that combine and reflect our philosophy, our passion for architecture, our attention to detail and our environmental consciousness. Two buildings that fit us perfectly, cannot be easily categorised, and offer a new perspective on the environment.
A NEW TAKE ON TRADITION
The design was inspired by the shape of the local barns with their characteristic gabled roofs, threshing floors and wooden facades, but has been reinterpreted in a modern way.
SUSTAINABLY INTEGRATED INTO THE ENVIRONMENT
The larch façades are untreated and their patina evolves over the years through exposure to the weather. The result is living architecture: two buildings that merge into their surroundings, sustainably integrated into their context.
WITH A CLEAR CONSCIENCE
Energy-efficient living without sacrificing modern comforts, innovative design or appealing architecture.
REFUGIUM:
A PASSIVE HOUSE
Active and passive use of solar energy, the harvesting of rainwater and a chemical-free nature pool all contribute to
eco-conscious living. The Nature Residence is south-facing with generously-sized windows. The compact design of this building, its exceptional thermal insulation and active ventilation system with heat recovery all reduce energy use to a minimum. The photovoltaic system on the roof provides solar power. Want to learn more? Come this way.
CHALET:
The Dahoam Chalet, built using sustainable timber construction techniques, is designed to catch the sun. Controlled ventilation with a CO2 sensor, an air-heat pump, generous triple glazing and a wood-burning stove contribute to the careful use of our energy resources while offering the ultimate in living comfort.
FUNCTIONAL
A carefully-designed layout and well-chosen materials combine beauty and functionality, to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Details like the movable larch sunshades are exciting design features that keep the architecture alive.
ONENESS
The view through the glass windows is an important part of the interior living experience. The large windows bring the outside inside, erasing borders and bringing a new dimension to the living experience.
TIMELESS AND DURABLE
High-calibre architecture is also about longevity.
Durable, sustainable materials are an important part of this.
Our buildings rely on timeless aesthetics and design. We care for, nurture, renovate, and extend them responsibly.
We're a little different, less conformist. Bucking the trend of fast-paced modern life.
